Lexington — Authorities in Lexington have made several arrests related to drug trafficking and firearm violations, marking a significant crackdown on illegal activities in the area. Among those wanted is Terry O. Taylor, who is currently sought by law enforcement for failing to appear in court on multiple drug-related charges.
Taylor is facing serious accusations, including two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and first-degree fleeing or evading police. The Bluegrass Crime Stoppers have issued a warrant for his arrest and are encouraging the public to provide information regarding his whereabouts. A cash reward is available for tips made anonymously by contacting 859-253-2020.
In a separate case, Kijana Davis and Adrian Lattimore, both residents of Ohio, were arrested after allegedly delivering four pounds of carfentanil to Lexington from Cincinnati. They have been booked at the Fayette County jail on drug trafficking charges and are each being held on a $50,000 bond.
Another set of arrests took place in Lexington County following a public tip. Ansel Yameen Sparrow, 34, and Victoria Katherine Harley, 21, were apprehended after narcotics agents detected marijuana at their residence on North Lake Drive. Sparrow was arrested after being spotted on the apartment’s balcony. A subsequent search of their premises led to the recovery of a variety of illegal substances, including cocaine, meth, and marijuana, along with a handgun and more than $9,300 in cash.
Both Sparrow and Harley face numerous charges, including trafficking cocaine and possession with intent to distribute meth and marijuana. Additionally, they are charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. After their arrests, they were held at the Lexington County Detention Center but were later released upon meeting their bond conditions.
In a further development, Eugene Laron Fishback, 32, of Lexington, was sentenced to 40 years in prison after being convicted of drug trafficking charges related to fentanyl. Fishback’s crimes included conspiracy to distribute over 400 grams of fentanyl and 10 grams or more of carfentanil, along with two counts of possession with intent to distribute these substances. During an investigation that followed his eviction from an apartment, law enforcement discovered over 7,000 fentanyl tablets and multiple firearms in his possession.
The investigation, led by the DEA and Lexington Police, resulted in the seizure of an additional 1,000 fentanyl tablets and carfentanil in December 2023. At the time of his arrest, Fishback was also found in possession of another 1,000 fentanyl tablets and additional carfentanil in his vehicle. Under the terms of his sentence, Fishback must serve 85% of his 40-year term and will be subject to probation for five years following his release.
These incidents highlight ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug-related crimes and ensure community safety in Lexington. Authorities continue to encourage locals to report any information about drug trafficking and related offenses.
