According to KCH Physician-in-Chief, many patients served by this network often face substantial financial hardships, making travel for specialized care a considerable burden.

In Scott County, where GCH is located, the local demographics underscore the urgency for improved pediatric services. The county reports a birth rate of 6.4%, surpassing the state average of 5%. Additionally, nearly 26% of the county’s population is aged 17 and under, which heightens the demand for quality pediatric care.

The affiliation grants GCH valuable access to specialized training, resources, and industry best practices. This will bolster GCH’s capability to provide enhanced pediatric care.
