Lexington – The Lexington Theatre Company has announced an exciting upcoming production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, scheduled to take place at the Lexington Opera House from July 31 to August 3, 2025. This performance is part of The Lex’s initiative titled “Decade of Dreams”, showcasing the theatre’s commitment to high-quality productions and sharing extraordinary talent with the community.
Leading the cast is Darian Sanders, a Broadway star and Lexington native known for his impactful performances, including Simba in the North American Tour of “The Lion King”. Sanders will take on the iconic role of Joseph. Alongside him, Audrey Belle Adams will portray the Narrator, having previously appeared in productions like “Mary Poppins” and “Legally Blonde” at The Lex. Also featured in the cast is Ethan Zeph, recognized for his roles in productions including “Newsies” and “A Chorus Line”, playing Pharaoh.
Tim X Davis, a longtime collaborator with The Lex, will perform the dual roles of Jacob and Potiphar. The production will also include an ensemble cast comprising Joseph’s eleven brothers and other supporting actors, with notable names such as:

Nathan Fister will serve as the Associate Director and Choreographer, while Dr. Brock Terry, The Lex’s Resident Music Director, will lead The Lex Orchestra, comprised of talented musicians from Central Kentucky.
The design team supporting this ambitious production includes notable professionals such as J Branson (Scenic Design), Tanya Harper (Lighting Design), Marcus Ross (Sound Design), and Elizabeth Payne (Costume Coordination), contributing to the overall aesthetic and production quality of the show.
In a highly competitive audition process, over 2,000 auditionees were considered from top musical theatre programs across the nation, illustrating the significant talent involved in bringing this revered musical to life.
This exciting production is co-presented with Variety Live at the Opera House and is sponsored by CHI Saint Joseph Health, with additional support from the Murry Foundation, WKYT-Channel 27, VisitLex, Central Bank, LexArts, and various local organizations.
