Incidents of Violence in the Community

In a separate and concerning situation, a woman has been charged with murder following another shooting on Newtown Pike that occurred on Friday morning. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Elmer Joseph Eldridge, was discovered with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead later after being transported to the hospital. The accused, 40-year-old Mia White, has been arrested and is currently held at the Fayette County Detention Center facing charges of murder in a domestic violence case.

Another tragic shooting incident took place early Tuesday in the 700 block of Rambling Creek Drive, where 16-year-old Arsenio Jackson Jr. was found with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at 2:50 a.m. Jackson was a junior at Henry Clay High School, and his death is also being investigated as a homicide, further highlighting the distressing trend of youth violence in Lexington. In addition, a shooting incident on Ohio Street resulted in the death of a male victim later identified as 24-year-old Tai’Maricus Warner, who was declared dead at the scene.
