This award aims to celebrate students who have shown outstanding dedication not only through their academic accomplishments but also in their active promotion of undergraduate research involvement among their peers. The ambassadors are instrumental in raising awareness about research opportunities and fostering a culture of inquiry within the university community.
The duties of the Research Ambassadors include engaging with students through various outreach programs such as tabling events, information sessions, workshops, and presentations in classrooms. They also participate in promoting events sponsored by OUR, notably the 5-Minute Fast Track Competition, which encourages students to present their research succinctly and effectively, allowing for greater participation from the student body.

The Undergraduate Research Ambassador program is designed to enhance awareness of research opportunities and to foster engagement in research and creative scholarly work among undergraduate students. To qualify for this honor, students must demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a commitment to leadership and involvement in mentored research or creative endeavors.
